Starbridge Media Group Teams Up With All-Star Brian Jordan to Create and Represent His Kids’ Book “Overcoming the Fear of the Baseball”

Starbridge Media Group, Inc. will serve as executive creator and production partner for the sports-themed concept “Overcoming the Fear of the Baseball” developed by former MLB and NFL star Brian Jordan, company CEO Jamie Crittenberger announced today.

“Overcoming the Fear of the Baseball” is a family-targeted multi-media concept that provides a positive message for children, parents, and sports fans by emphasizing the virtue of overcoming adversity and never giving up. The first edition of the book is set to be released at the start of the 2010 baseball season and will tell the story of a young boy overcoming his fear of being hit by the ball and becoming a successful player.

No stranger to the children’s publishing world, Brian Jordan has already published the successful kids’ book, “I Told You I Can Play,” which is football-themed. With a main focus on giving back to the community, Jordan started the Brian Jordan Foundation, with a philosophy that in every child there is the potential for excellence. The vision of the non-profit organization is to provide practical information, tools, and a nurturing environment to children, youth, and their families. The foundation’s educational program awards scholarships to underprivileged yet deserving young adults.

A native of Baltimore, MD, Jordan’s Major League Baseball career spanned from 1992-2005, where he played outfield for the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals. and Texas Rangers. A rare two-sport professional athlete, he also played safety for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League from 1989-91.
