STARBRIDGE MEDIA GROUP’S “NASCAR HEROES” COMIC BOOK SERIES NOMINATED FOR MULTIPLE HARVEY AWARDS

Sports-content publisher receives two Harvey Award nominations for outstanding work in the comic books industry

Starbridge Media Group, Inc. received two nominations for the prestigious 2009 Harvey Awards, for its original comic book series titled “NASCAR Heroes,” Starbridge CEO Jamie Crittenberger announced today.

The fifth issue of the racing-related collection, “NASCAR Villains,” released September, 2 2008, is nominated for “Best Single Issue or Story,” while artist Matt Cassan is nominated in the “Best New Talent” category for his work on the series.
 
Honoring excellence in the comics industry since 1988, the Harvey Awards are selected exclusively by the working comic books professional community - those who write, draw, ink, letter, color, design, edit, and are otherwise involved in the creative process. Winners of this year’s awards will be announced at the Harvey Awards banquet held in conjunction with the Baltimore Comic-Con on October 10-11, 2009.

The first issue of the NASCAR-licensed series was released by Starbridge in May, 2007.
