DC-area Sports-Content Firm Chosen by Newly-Formed WPS franchise to Create Inaugural Sales and Marketing Campaign Collateral

Starbridge Media Group, Inc. has been hired as the creative agency for the season ticket sales initiative of the Philadelphia Independence of Women’s Professional Soccer, Starbridge CEO Jamie Crittenberger announced today.

In its role, Starbridge will create visually stimulating sales and marketing collateral to support the Independence’s initial sales and marketing campaign. The collateral consists of various Internet, print, and direct marketing materials that will support the team’s season ticket kickoff in September.

The Philadelphia Independence is the newest franchise to the WPS league, which started play in 2009. The WPS consists of seven teams and is the highest-level women’s professional soccer league in North America. The Philadelphia Independence and Atlanta Beat will join the league as expansion teams and begin play in the 2010 season.

“We are excited for the opportunity to promote the first-class organization Philadelphia Independence through our creative capabilities,” said Starbridge President Ken Hutman. “This is an extremely exciting time for women’s soccer and we are thrilled to play a part in supporting not only the growth of the sport but female athletics on the whole.”
